TRONK:
A Journey Home
Video edited by Graham Casper Haught.
Fun For All Ages!
Three bumbling adventurers are on a journey to find a new home. But the magical trunk they use to travel breaks down, and they must repair their vessel before continuing on. As they try to work together to fix their traveling device, the crew realizes that they must first repair the rift that has formed between the three of them before they can move forward.
This show is performed in the style of clown, using recognition and interaction with the audience, moments of slapstick, acrobatics, and physical comedy. It is performed entirely in gibberish based on the languages of the performers’ heritage, telling the story without the use of English, allowing audiences of all backgrounds and language proficiency to easily follow the story.
Building Social-Emotional Skills Through Theatre!
Through humor, empathy, and physical storytelling, TRONK explores the big emotions we often experience but don’t always have the tools to express. By showing that emotions like sadness, frustration, or confusion are not only valid but important to acknowledge and communicate, TRONK helps build the foundation for emotional literacy, conflict resolution, and stronger interpersonal relationships.
